Kyle of Sutherland Community Resilience Plan
In September 2020, the Kyle of Sutherland Locality Group realised there was a need to develop an up to date, holistic Resilience Plan for the Kyle of Sutherland area. The plan has been produced to prepare communities to respond to emergency events such as flooding, power outages and road closures. Since then, the group have had input from various agencies, local organisations and members of the community across the area. The plan has now been published and you can access the summary here.
One of the exciting things about this new plan is that it will be reviewed at least every three months as a summary of the plan will be included in the Kyle Chronicle, which is delivered to every household in the Kyle of Sutherland area every quarter.
The main Community Resilience Plan includes information about the area and how the plan will work for community first responders, emergency services and various agencies to utilise if a community response is required. The summary is available for individuals to refer to in the event of an emergency.
